This axis studies sociability practices to understand changes in the forms of the social bond. Research projects developed in this axis relate to:
- How social relationships and communities form and persist, and the role digital devices play in these processes;
- Expressions of identity, particularly amount minoritized and marginalized groups (e.g., LGBTQ+ audiences), and the way platforms that mediate these expressions are both a source of emancipation and stigmatization;
- Online solidarity displays.
