Summary: The aim of this methodological workshop is to present the Notion application as a relevant tool ifor research. This platform offers a wide range of functions, from note-taking to Kanban boards and wikis. It has made a name for itself among online student communities on Instagram and YouTube (StudyGram and StudyTube). In this workshop, we'll explore the basics of creating a personal workspace on Notion, with a particular focus on how databases can contribute to research work. Two uses of this functionality will be discussed: the creation of databases for managing bibliographic references and reading records, as well as for organizing and coding manual data collection.

Speaker: Camille Nicol is a doctoral student in communications at UQAM. After taking an interest in the co-creation of transmedia universes through the study of audiovisual Harry Potter fan fiction as part of her Master's degree, Camille continued her research in the field of fan studies by mobilizing feminist approaches. Her thesis is on feminist lay criticism of literature fans on Instagram and TikTok. She is also contributing as a research assistant to the "Résistance" project directed by Mélanie Millette on women's practices of resistance to online antifeminism.
